Keeping Tertill in the garden

A physical boundary must completely surround your garden to keep Tertill from wandering away.  The ideal boundary is at least as tall as the robot, about four inches or 10 cm, and is made of conductive material of some sort.  Many different items will work including:

  •      Wire fence (chain-link, chicken wire, hardware cloth, etc.)
  •      Wrought iron fence
  •      Stockade fence
  •      Landscaping timber (often used to form raised beds)
  •      Brick edging
  •      Supplied row collars

Non-conduttive boundaries made of plastic, for example, will also work.  However, because Tertill's obstacle sensors cannot detect such boundaries the robot will take extra time to turn around whenever it bumps into the boundary.
